Allure Invitations

from the first glimpse to the final thank you

Margie and Dennis

Its July 19th and the phone rings at the end of the day- Its Margie, worried because her wedding is 8 weeks a way and she had not ordered her invitations yet. Work had been hectic and time escaped her. She asked if we could create something special and unique and mail them out soon- like next week.   I said of course, it might be challenging but we can try-  She came over the next day and spent the afternoon with me- She had an idea of what she wanted – she wanted it to be a little artsy, something different- but elegant and special. She knew her colors were white and blue and she loved the metallic -white paper- Together we flipped through dozens of catalogues to see what kind of art she liked, what motifs and fonts were in her vision- Thanks to Checkerboard- we submitted her order that afternoon and had a proof the next day – Thanks Lorrie! We were able to make some tweaks and fine tune some pieces- and we had  completely custom made invitation in a week and a half- and got the invitations out just in time-

Margie wanted everything to coordinate but not be matchy-matchy so we used the same papers and used the same artwork in different layouts- We made the invitation suite, wedding programs, place cards, and table numbers- I  haven’t received pictures of everything yet but hopefully they will come soon-

It was a little stressful and not ideal (sorry Margie) but we had fun and got it done- I highly recommend starting 6 months in advance, but should you lose track of time, keep a sense of humor and make quick decisionsWedding– Margie was very relaxed about the situation, she took everything in stride- I wish Margie and Dennis the happiest life together- I am sure it will be exciting.
